EV Charging

The expertise we built on fuel forecourts now powers the switch to electric. We design and build EV charging sites ready for the way people drive next.

Powering the switch to electric

Forecourt projects are rarely simple. Live fuel systems, tight programmes and strict safety rules all have to be managed at once, and that's exactly the kind of work we're built for. From single upgrades to complete site rebuilds, our team brings the specialist knowledge these projects demand, delivered with care and a total focus on getting it right.

We've worked across the sector long enough to know where projects go wrong, and how to keep yours on track. Careful planning, close coordination and a tidy, well-run site are what set us apart, so the job is done properly and your site is back up and trading as soon as possible.

Our EV Charging services include:

  • Substations, transformers and battery storage facilities (formwork and concrete placement)
  • Installation of charging points, lighting and site security infrastructure
  • EV charger housings with full cabling and connections
  • Construction of new canopies above charging bays
  • Drainage and surface water management
  • Wayfinding signage and soft landscaping
  • New forecourt layouts with associated parking, surfacing and line marking
  • Formation of new site entrances and exits
  • Construction of modular buildings and associated services
FAQs

EV charging questions, answered

The things clients most often ask before starting an EV charging project, from grid connections to adding charging at an existing site. If there's anything else you need to know, get in touch and we'll talk it through.
Can you add EV charging to an existing forecourt or car park?

Yes, this is a big part of what we do. We can retrofit charging bays into a site that's already operating, working around your layout and keeping disruption to a minimum. We'll assess what the site can support, handle the groundworks and electrical work, and integrate the charging points cleanly into the space you already have.

Do you handle the electrical and grid connection work?

We do. Getting enough power to a charging site is often the biggest hurdle, so we manage the electrical infrastructure and coordinate the grid connection as part of the build. We'll flag any supply constraints early, because knowing what the site can handle up front is what keeps the project on track.

Can you build a complete charging hub from scratch?

Yes. From an empty site through to a fully working charging hub, we take care of the whole project under one roof. That covers groundworks, power, canopies, surfacing, signage and the charging points themselves, all managed by a single team, so there are no gaps between trades and one point of contact throughout.

Do you install the chargers, or just prepare the site?

Both, depending on what you need. We can deliver everything up to the point of installation, or handle the full package including mounting and connecting the charging units. If you're working with a specific charge point provider, we'll coordinate with them to make sure the site is ready and the installation goes smoothly.

How long does an EV charging project take?

It depends on the size of the site and, more often than not, the grid connection, which can be the longest lead item. Smaller retrofits can move quickly, while a full hub needs more time for planning and power. We'll give you an honest timeline from the first conversation and keep you updated as things progress.

Can you future-proof a site for more charging later?

Yes, and it's well worth doing. If you're building or upgrading now, we can put in the groundwork and capacity to add more charging bays down the line, which saves digging the site up again later. We'll help you plan for where demand is heading, not just where it is today.
